How the Name Generator Works
Type up to five keywords that describe what you sell or how you want to be seen, then pick the naming styles you like. The generator combines your words with fixed word lists using six patterns that brand agencies use when they brainstorm, and it runs entirely in your browser.
- Keyword + word: your keyword paired with a familiar business word, such as Coffee Works or Bright Coffee. Clear and easy to remember.
- Blends: the front of one word joined to the end of another, like a portmanteau. Hard-to-say blends with three vowels or three consonants in a row are filtered out.
- Latin and Greek roots: short classical words such as nova (new), terra (earth), lumen (light) and ethos (character) combined with your keyword.
- Alliteration: an adjective that starts with the same letter as your keyword, such as Crisp Coffee. Repeated sounds are easier to recall.
- Modern suffixes: endings like -ly, -ify and -io, common with apps and online brands.
- Founder name: your family name with the keyword or a word like Co or Partners.
The list is deterministic: the same keywords and settings always give the same ideas, and More ideas reshuffles to show a different set.
