What the planner does

You provide a start date, number of weeks (1 to 13), channels with weekly post counts, a list of content pillars (1 to 12, up to 50 characters each, no duplicates) and the weekdays you will post on. The defaults are 12 weeks, Blog:1, LinkedIn:3, Instagram:4, the pillars Education, Product, Social proof and Culture, and Monday to Friday.

  • Schedule: one row per post with date, channel and pillar, in date order.
  • Posts by channel: weekly count times weeks.
  • Posts by pillar: an even split, with any remainder going to the first pillars you listed.
  • Exports: CSV, ICS (all-day events), and a print view.

Everything runs in your browser. The schedule is generated by a fixed rule, not a model, so it never changes between runs.

Worked example

Start Monday 2 November 2026, 2 weeks, Blog:1 and LinkedIn:3, pillars Education and Product, Monday to Friday. That gives 8 posts.

  • Week 1: LinkedIn on Mon 2 Nov (Education), Blog on Wed 4 Nov (Product), LinkedIn on Wed 4 Nov (Education), LinkedIn on Fri 6 Nov (Product).
  • Week 2: LinkedIn on Mon 9 Nov (Education), Blog on Wed 11 Nov (Product), LinkedIn on Wed 11 Nov (Education), LinkedIn on Fri 13 Nov (Product).
  • Totals: Blog 2, LinkedIn 6. Education 4, Product 4.

Notice the Blog post always falls on a day when LinkedIn also posts. If you want them apart, change the ticked days or move the row in the CSV.

Limits and sources

A calendar is only a plan. It does not judge whether your cadence is sustainable, whether the pillars suit your audience, or which days perform best for you. Check your own analytics before copying someone else's schedule. Importing an ICS file into a shared calendar will show events to everyone who can see it.

  • Desruisseaux, B. (Ed.) (2009). RFC 5545, Internet Calendaring and Scheduling Core Object Specification (iCalendar): DATE values, exclusive DTEND, text escaping and line folding.
  • Scheduling rule: a fixed round-robin that spreads each channel's slots across the chosen weekdays. It is this tool's own method, not an industry standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the Content Calendar Planner

Type one channel per line or separate them with commas, each as name:posts-per-week, for example Blog:1,LinkedIn:3,Instagram:4. You can enter up to 8 channels. Names must be unique, up to 50 characters, and posts per week must be a whole number from 0 to 7. A line without a colon and a number is rejected. If every channel is set to 0 the tool says there are no posts.
